AmCham and CBSI launched the report at the webinar with a presentation by the Chamber President Ker Gibbs on the key findings of the report and a panel discussion with experts and business leaders on the China business climate. This exclusive discussion was centered around how the business environment is evolving in China and how American companies are adjusting their strategies in a dynamic market.

The other speakers included: Don Williams- Partner at Hogan Lovells International LLP, Vivien Wang- International Tax Partner, U.S. Inbound Practice Leader for Deloitte, Peter Lorentzen- Professor and Director of the MS Applied Economics Program at USF, and Hao Lin- Head of MNC Business Development, Alibaba Cloud. The panel was moderated by Xiaohua Yang- Professor and Director of China Business Studies Initiative.

During the presentation of the key findings of the report, Mr. Gibbs stated: “You’re going to see that most of our member companies are actually quite bullish on China and optimistic about the future. We’re also going to talk a little bit about some of the barriers to operating in China and increased competition.” After the presentation, Xiaohua Yang moderated a panelist discussion to speak about the findings of the report from their perspectives in regard to each person’s area of expertise. At the end, the panelists also entertained an engaging Q&A with the audience.
